This blog post chronicles this year's festival.

Egyptians Pay Tribute to Pyramids

Recently, over 400 Egyptian youths traveled to the Giza Necropolis to campaign for the preservation of Egypt's most magnificent structure: the pyramids.

The Cultural Ministry of Egypt organized the effort to encourage the younger people to learn more about Egypt's ancient history and to raise the public's awareness of the need to preserve it's monuments.

Ancient Egypt Coming to Local Libraries

Children gathered Wednesday at the Bethany Public Library for a presentation by Dr. Stephen Phillips, University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology. Dr. Phillips was discussing the science behind ancient Egyptian mummies. Program funding is provided by the Commonwealth of PA Outreach Lecture Program, sponsored by the University of Pennsylvania Museum.
